Freelance Catering

Carolanne’s Kitchen is now available for catering. Creating a menu to suit your event and serving up high quality food to you and your guests.

After training in Ballymaloe in Ireland, a love of food turned into a career working in food. I specialise in local, seasonal and organic food. I love to play with wild foods and incorporate them into specialised menus. I not only focus on the nutritional value of food but their flavours, textures, tastes and colour.

I co-founded the Sligo Supper Clubs in Ireland, catering for a group of 25 each night. Our menu was designed by myself and involved the participation of local producers, businesses and skills. Supper Clubs appeal to me in so many ways, above all the diner is given the opportunity to sit back and relax whilst you supply them with a bounty of freshly made meals.

I am currently based in South Africa and have a food stall at the Fourways Farmer’s Market. I am a baker at heart and so most of my market produce is based on baked goods. I love introducing people to the way we love to cook in Ireland and they are falling head over heels in love with it so far.
